This is a topic of major debate. You can easialy use regular in a normal stock engine. I use chevron supreme because I am very obsessive about my celica.
The only difference anyone can say for sure is that supreme with take more compression/timming/boost than regular. If your engine starts pinging (preignition/detonation) a higer octane can help relieve the symtoms.
So it is up to you. If you are low on funds don't worry about putting regular in. If you can afford it or have done some major mods use supreme.
