Are you talking about the main pulley that drives the fan and the alternator? Cuz the fan itself is attached to the water pump, and there's no oil in there, just coolant. If you're talking about that main bottom pulley that basically runs the whole thing, then yes, that's your crank pulley right there, and it probably IS the crank seal. That's basically the seal that keeps oil from the oil pan in there, and keeps it from pissing out all over the place. Same job as a rear axle seal, or a front hub oil seal. BUT, you say it's coming from the actual pulley the fan is attached to...Okay, I think I have an idea. There's the water pump, then the water pump attaches to the timing cover, which covers the front of the block from the head to the oil pan. Am I close?
