Jon, yes your right. Yesterday i took the radiator fan off, and the water pump pulley and degreased the engine AGAIN. I started the truck up and let it run long enough to get up to temperature, because thats when it seems to start leaking. Well heres the funny part: The oil wasnt leaking. So i shut it down, let it sit for awhile and started it back up and let it idle again for another 5 minutes or so, carefully watching the temp guage since it had no belt driving the waterpump pulley. Anyways, lo and behold once again it did not leak oil. So i put the water pump pulley and fan back on, started it up and let it idle for longer this time, and it started leaking oil again. WTF? This is the 3rd day ive been hunting this oil leak now, LOL. Any ideas? Judging from where the oil is leaking, IF it is leaking from the front crank seal, its leaking from the top of the seal, and not the bottom. ALSO, when i pulled off the waterpump pulley, it exposed a small hole under the piece that protrudes that the waterpump pulley attaches to. The hole is only visible from underneath the vehicle, and it looks like a hole that is about a quarter inch in diameter. There looked to be oil in it. I wonder if that is where the oil is coming from? I dunno dude. I'm about this close from ripping everything off the front of the engine and replacing all the seals, which i dont want to to do, ha ha.
