0-60, 1/8- and 1/4-mile

Ran the Celica at Irwindale a
couple of months ago: 1/8-mile, average of
11.90 @ 59.16. This is with cone filter,
Supra AFM, 1/4" larger down and midpipes
and cat bypass. Best pass was 11.85 @
59.63.
A 11.90 equates to a 18.56 1/4-mile.
I put a Magnaflow muffler (had an OEM) and
timed the Celica on a Gtech tonight. Did
a 0-60 in 11.71 seconds.
A 11.71 equates to 18.25.
Looks like the
muffler gained .31 seconds. Well, maybe
more actually. That's 11.71 to 60 and
Irwindale was 11.90 to 59.16.
So maybe
my 1/8 is down to 11.65 or so, just a guess, which would equate to a 18.17 1/4-mile.
This would mean the Magnaflow cut .39 off
the OEM's time. But there's more...
Gtech also doesn't allow a rollout (like staged
shallow at the strip) which is worth 1/10 to
2/10. So maybe the Magnaflow cut off .49 to .59
off the OEM's time.
It looks like the OEM muffler
was choking the car quite a bit...
