Uhhh, that's not right.
Sounds like a short, kinda. Is that switch lighted or did it arc?
I would go over every wire that is involved with the aftermaket fog lights.
As for the pop up's. That's not right either :P
As far as I know there isn't anything to do with the headlights themselves behind the stereo. But maybe a relay wire goes through there. If you tripped it or something you may have fried the relay.
Go over -every- wire. Make sure everything is in its place and hooked up right. I'm thinking maybe a wire is crossed somewhere or a hot wire is free and/or grounded.
Let me know what you find,
