Engine wise the 22r is not for racing. Neitehr is a Hyundai. A supra and 240 are build for power (some). The 22r has a hefty iron block bottom end and a good top end. But no stock car is good for racing. Thats why companies make dual valve springs, titanium retainers, headers low/high comp pistons, forged rods, cams, light cranks, flywheels, pulleys, larger t/b's. Springsets are available too as well as strut tower bars and lower conrtol arms. So what you say is true to some sort. The torque that the 2r produces outnumbers it's hp and there fore is good. if you dont like lke your car then sell it.
