Opinions?

Hey guys, I have been cruising around the web, and I've found a few things that have piqued my interest.  I was wondering what your thoughts are on them, to give me a better opinion that just my own.  :)  By the way, I own a stock 81 Celica GT w/a K&N filter installed.

http://www.thunderpaw.com/cars/celica.htm - This is a little site about a racer and his 81 Celica GT.  He has an interesting intake hookup, and I was hoping for some opinions on that.

http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/manifold.html - I was also looking into the 22R intake manifold from this site.  There are two available, one better suited for high-end power, the other more efficient while in the lower to mid RPM's for both torque and Ponies.  I wanted to lower-end power one, since I'm a daily driver and my car redlines at 5,000 anyway...

Keep in mind that along with these mods I would like to get a Thorley Header(if that's the best for the price, tell me if not), and wider exhaust pipes.

Any ENGINE SPECIFIC suggestions will help a lot, including the size of the exhaust pipes, and what kind of muffler/cat I should get.

One more thing-  I want this baby to breathe free, and release all her natural ponies.  I'm not looking to dump more and more fuel into it, I want the economy to go UP, not down.  Plus I heard that the stock carb is pretty slick anyway.  (BTW, does anyone know the SKU/stock number for the stock carb?)
