Re: AFM question

I've been researching the whole 22-RE intake system in the past couple of weeks and i've learned alot. I just built mysele a CAI(upgraded away from the OAI) I cut a large hole on my air-dam, ran a swer/dryer air duct hose from the air-dam to a heavily modified PVC albow piece which holds my 3" cone filter. Ever thing is all air tight and works great.

Now, about the Supra AFM. It is totally pointless to upgrade the AFM unless you upgrade to a '82 supra TB also. The air get bottle-necked at the TB unless its the same size as the large AFM. so to get the most out of your celica's intake you want to upgrade the both the supra's AFM and TB then either fabracate your own CAI or open air intake(cone filter). I suggest CAI myself, i personally think it works better at higher RPMs.

and you cannot use a AFM from a 83'-86 supra unless you transplant the circuits
