What RPM does your car idle at when your A/C is on? If the RPM drop allot (several hundred) then it could just be that your A/C idle up needs adjustment.
Otherwise you probably do need a little refil.
Electric fans are allways a great idea. The give back a little power to the engine and the work good. If you did get one I would recommend that you get one with a thermstat control. That way you dont have to remember to flip a switch. And if you wan;t you can make it so even with the car off and you gone, the fan will keep going until the car is cool.
