White smoke?

I have a 22R engine in my 81 Celica GT and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why white smoke comes out the exhaust when I warm it up in the mornings.  It doesn't seem to do it once it's warmed up, nor does it do it when it revs high-  Usually just when it's warming up and a little while after that.  Ideas?

P.S.- I noticed on my last spark plug change that there is oil on the threads of my plugs, but they are still the normal grey-white color for the most part.  There was a little brown on the porcelin part, but they looked pretty good besides that.  (i'd had them in for only 2 or 3 thousand miles)  Is some oil supposed to be there?  If not, what are the probably causes?  (list all, please)

Thanks!
