The 'good' koni's are the Sport modles. A while ago (5 months to be specific) I wondered the same thing. I also wondered about their koni springs when they had em but they have since been discontinued (God F**king Damnit! The last -real- springs! I should've gotten em!) So I emailed them Here is the email:
No, the springs are not progressive rate springs. No variations of spring rate are avalible.
The front Koni's are avalible in the sport model, the rears are also avalible, but koni never made the rears in sport, but the rears can be used with the sport fronts.
Thank you for your interest.

My name is Steven Benner and I had a question about your Koni springs (Toyota Celica GT-S W/IRS 1983 Spring Kit KO-S1501). I was wondering if thses springs are progressive rate springs? If so what are the initial rates (front & rear) and what are the maximum rates (front & rear). And do you have any variations of spring rate avaliable?
I was also interested in Koni struts/shocks for my 83 Celica GTS. I see you have adjustable front struts avaliable but the rear shocks say "except GT-S". Do you have adjustable rear shocks for my celica? Last but not least; are the struts/shocks you offer Koni "Sport" modles?

Thank you, Steven Benner
