Rust on the Hatch

I own a 1983 celica GT. The car is in good shape, except for the massive amounts of rust on the rear. I have looked for a replacement hatch, but have not found one in any better shape. I was onder ing if anyone else has had the same problem, and if so did you fix it youre self and how?
