No, IIRC it's just that all that stuff was optional on the GT. You had to ask for the options, then pay extra. Come to think of it I believe that stuff is optional on the GT-S too. Hell air conditioning was optional! Imagine optional A/C. LOL, wont hear of than in any car these days! However the rarely heard of/seen ST modles didn't come with that power suff, period.

The GT is allot better suited to drag racing because of the solid axel. It holds perfect zero toe and camber in the rear. This means the power will be put to the ground allot better than an IRS setup, especial the RA6x IRS setup. Because the wheels will be perfectly flat on the ground, thus maximum friction. You will never find a funney car or any onther real drag racer not running a solid axel setup.
