yes yes it is connected to the throttle and therefore tps... when i had water leaking into cylinders from head erosion, mine wouldn't work right couldn't jump it to time it either i assume it's cuz air got in that coolant line here's a quote, dunno if yours and mine are the same since i have a 88 p'up "It is probably the air valve or the hoses connected to the air valve from the throttle body. Inspect the hoses first then check the resistance of the valve at the electrical connector. The spec. is 39-59 ohms. "
