That is odd. When was the last time you changed you spark plugs and got a tune up? How old is the fuel filter?
I can't think of any reason why higher octane would make the car stumble, and lower octane not have any problem at all. What RPM does it stumble at? Maybe the fuel injectors need to be serviced. What is your timing set at?
