chances are that this engine will come from an Grand national or a GNX. if you can get the 87/88 (not sure which year) 3.8 out of a gnx as it pumps around 300HP (at the flywheel, so says "speed vision"). why out of a gn/x? because thats the ONLY buick that i know of that came with the 3.8 and a rearwheel drivetrain.
small issue here though: there were VERY few gnx's, or even GN's for that matter, made. and apparently when ordering parts for these machines they take down your vin and check you out (just a rumor ive heard) to make sure you're not assembling a gnx out of factory parts.
personally: yould be better off with a land rover aluminum V8 under your hood. it weighs 5lbs more, and is somewhat more availible..
