sounds like it flooding out the mix when you stand on it. check your ig'n and standard tuneup items

this doesn't help things, but again, the injectors are pretty durable, and would cause a lean condition when you got on the gas and they didn't squirt enough fuel.. lean conditions don't give a stumble generally..
