Actualy removing the EGR is easy and very common. Many all race people remove the EGR, PCV, cat, and any other emmisions stuff as the first move to more power. You just need a set of EGR block off plates. Pull the EGR valve and bolt the block off plates to the holes for the egr. You'll have to play with the vacuum lines a little. I'd just cap em off at the plenum (or was it TB).
This really is a 'race only' mod. Believe it or not the EGR is more than an emissions control device. The effect of letting some burnt gasses into the combustion chamber is that they dilute the air/fuel charge. Since burnt gasses won't ignite again. This lowers the combustion temps. This keeps the engine cooler as well as reducing NOx. It would be wise to have an exhaust gas temperature gauge before doing this mod. Don't let it rise too much.
Another, more legal, option is to simply restrict the EGR flow. I can provide more details after I do it but you dust drill a 1/4" hole in a 3/8" pipe plug. Then tap the EGR inlet at the back of the manifold and screw it in. Install the EGR and it looks like stock. Still works, and reduces the EGR flow wich is supposed to supress 'stumble'.

That isn't right. Where are you? The entre setup offered by MSD is completely street legal (EVEN IN CALI!) That is what the silver stickers they give you say. And the ram air is questionable but just remove the hose and then it will be a simple (legal) open element filter.
