Help for your tired plastic trim...

Hi All,
Here is a detailing tip to all of you '82 to '85 Celica (and Supra) owners out there.
We all know that one of the worst things about our '82 to '85 Celicas is that the door and window trim really leaves a lot to be desired. If yours is in really bad shape, (the black plastic coating is flaking off and missing) then this trick won't help you much. But if you are one of the lucky ones that has trim that is just faded and grey, then this works great to bring it back to a beautiful shine.
The trick is to polish it with a product that I found that works great. It is called NOVUS Plastic Polish #2. It can be found at many plastic distributors and manufactures. Most Harley Davidson dealers even stock it in their showrooms. If you can't find it there, just do a search for "NOVUS" on e-bay, and at least half a dozen auctions will come up for it. A lot of people use it for restoring the surface of old plastics. It works on any hard, plastic surface, and has many uses on and around cars. I have used it to detail the aforementioned window trim on my Celicas, as well as the tail light and marker light lenses. It even works to polish out scratches on CD's and DVD's that are too scratched to play. You can also check out the companies web site at www.novuspolish.com if you want.
I hope this helps.
Later,
Jay B.
