help 84 toyota celica starting problem

can some one plz help me i have got a 84 toyota celica and i have put in a good pump system from a running car tank and all now this car has been sitting for 4 year it was running when parked had a clutch problem. now here is my problem..... i can get it to start up with no problems but it will not stay running in less i take starting fluid and spray in. runs fine that way stop spraing it stops. i haved changed the fuel filter and i do see fuel pumping from the pump. can some one help me plz
