'84 celica mods

first off, thanks to Steve Benner for the awesome site here.
ok, well the passenger side rearview mirror is gone from my car, does any one know where i can get a new one? i live in northern california.
also
i was thinking of doing the open intake mod that steve did to his car, any tips before i screw up... i mean get started?
oh and i was wondering, the '83 and '84 engines are similar enough that the mods steve made will work on my car too right?
