with the driving light power on check for DC voltage with a multimeter by inserting one lead into one of the contacts on the light connector and the other lead to then negative post on the battery, or to an obvious ground to the car. One of the contacts should read around 12 volts or higher, check both. Then turn the light switch off, and with your meter now turned to the ohms scale on the lowest setting, apply one of the meter leads to ground, and the other lead to check both contacts for a reading, if there is a good ground, it should have a low reading, the other contact should have a reading of nothing, or infinity. If you find voltage on one contact, and ground reading on the other, make sure the contacts are clean, making good connection against the bulb, and the bulb is good. If that fails wiggle the hell out of the connector when the lights are on...
