Hey Nobby.
Well, their are several differences between all the different models, but if you know what to look for before you buy the car you may save yourself from some disapointment in the end when you see what you COULD have had.
The GTS comes with some really cool 8-way adjustable drivers seat and passenger seat is almost equally cool, independant rear suspension which handles better but apparently doesn't put power to the ground as efficiently (My stock 84 GTS with 225s all around doesn't have a big problem getting traction, but I can see it if you got some good power goin).  The fender flares are only on the GTS, I think make the car look totally sweet however if you come across an 82 or 83 GT with flares it is a GTS and for some reason doesn't have the logo. In 84 they changed the headlights to ones that actually popup instead of flipping forward, both kinda give two different looks to the same car.  The GTS comes with all wheel disc brakes (84 and 85 only?) which looks sweet  and provides better stopping power. The 82 and I think 83 ST model came with the 22R which is carburated and I think has about 10 hp less from stock but I've seen some pretty nice setups for them with dual carbs if that's the way you'd like to go with your car.
If you'd like to buy a Supra it is basically the same car but you can feel a little extra weight when your driving it.  On the plus side you have  worlds more performance potential with either an engine swap or sinmply turbocharging the stock 5M-GE or 6M-GE.  If I didn't like the front end on my car so much more and the erebuni body kit for it I would definetly own a supra.

No matter which model you end up with you probably won't be disapointed.  They're generally all super reliable and very torquey which makes for lots of fun. let us know whatcha end up with.
