The supra swap article I have in here is for the GTS only. The Celica must have independent rear suspension.

If your car has an IRS setup then it is a GTS and the swap will work. If your car has a solid axel then it is a GT and you can swap the rear axel from a 79-81 (I think) mk1 supra. I dont know all of the details but I know it can be done without too much work. I think that some corolla rear ends will work too.

I'll see if I can get some more info. For now ask the OCC mailing list.
