couple questions

Im starting to think my investment in buying my 83' celica is a bad choice.Heres my prob , i can stop on a wet day and put to the accelator clear to the floor and wont even break traction , its almost like im driving a GEO! Alot of people tell me to just get a tune up , but for 140 ft/lb it feels weak. I get great power in the mid to hige ranges but horrible from idle to low
