Why are we worrying about "bleeding" the fuel lines? All you do is either jumper the fuel pump test connector behind the AFM, or (if your AFM is modded/adjusted) open the AFM slightly while the key is on IGN. This will force the fuel pump to run, circulating fuel thru the system. Any bubbles in the line will get purged back to the fuel tank.
No mess, no lost fuel.
