Not getting torque from Tranny to Engine?

I recently advanced my timing on a 85 celica conv. gt-s... RPM's were running freely... For some reason, I'm getting the torque like most celica's recieve... Was wonder what i need to check to get my torque back to z level where i can feel it... My celica at this point has "NO Torque" Any help would be great thanks....
