Valve Tapping?

Before i replaced my timing chain about two weeks ago, my engine sounded more like a steam powered 1920's motor then a 22re. Once my chain was replaced my engine sounded 10 times better... but one noise still remains. a slight tapping sound. it seems to be coming from the upper section of my engine, mostlikly the head. Could this be a vavle tapping?
How bad is this? how can i fix this tapping?
