Celica rearend swap

I have a 82 celica gt and i dont have independent suspension. Is there any way that i can swap a 82 supra rearend with independent in?
Because i saw in the pic celica089.jpg it looks like he did not have independent and putting in a supra with independent in???
I am just wanting to know if i can??? please help
