I own Both RA64 and AE86's for a years now. The celica is a little heavy and the USDM motor int he celica really sucks. its got torque and thats it. no HP and no rev's. If you were able to swap a 4agze into the celica along with a T283 rear end and a 14 PSI pully you'd have a awesome and very unique drift car.
the AE86 also has small dementions that aid in its natural drifing ability.
And ONE other reason you dont see 3rd gen celicas drifting is because in japan these cars are very uncommon, rarer than AE86's in america. so i think japanese dont really want to spend money on a rare and expensive celica that needs more work than a more common japanese ae86 thats already light and has mass aftermarket backup.
