Ive got the same problem....im fixing up an 84 supra that is souped to hell. It was in an accident though so i bought a parts supra car. The parts car has a good engine and the rims and spoiler and rearend. I took the 22re all apart. Even though its cheap to rebuild the 22re, the supra motor would be easier except its 6 inches longer. If your gonna use the celica nosecone...its gonna be tricky. But what im thinkin is put the supra front end on there and you would have no clearance problems.
