Welcome to Celica-GTS.com, home of the original high performance import! This web site is my tribute to the Toyota Celica. More so the 1983 model with the GT-S package. Which includes four wheel independent suspension, fuel injection, big 14" x 7" aluminum alloy GTS wheels and fender flares, 8-way adjustable seat, cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows/mirrors and all of the other amenities you would expect from a modern import.

83 Toyota Celica GTS

These speedy sport cars were generally run on the 22R/RE engine. This bulletproof engine has been in service since 1982 and they were produced up to the mid 90's. At 2.4 liters these are a fairly large displacement four cylinder engines. Generally pushing 105-115hp these machines can be pushed to more than 350hp. The use of forced induction is generally required for anything past around 250hp. A very reliable chain driven single overhead cam valve train is one of the many great features of this engine. As well as a forged crankshaft that rivals any bigblock V8. It is not uncommon to see these engines running after 400,000 miles have been run up on the odometer.

Web.com Sucks - Do Not Use

A billing error, followed by a failure in their reactivation system caused us to be down for the last 30 hours.

I signed up with a hosting company called Interland about 6 years ago now. Back then it was a great service. A few years ago they got bought out by Web.com. Since then the service has gone down hill. Bad customer service, night-time tech support for their dedicated servers doesn't answer the phone, billing system is a joke, and their automated systems don't seem to work half the time.

We are finally back up. But this has become too frustrating to justify. They are going to lose my business as soon as I can move the site.

I already have a new host ready to go. I will be looking at migrating the site. This will probably be another day or so of downtime. Not sure when it is going to happen. I have to make sure the forum software works on the new host. I will post a message here at least a week before it happens.

Forums Recovered From Corrupted Table

The forums were down from 10:20pm PT yesterday to 12:00pm PT today.

It appears that the server crash yesterday caused the posts table in the database to become corrupted. I have successfully repaired the forums database and everything should be fully restored.

I do not believe there was any data loss. Please let me know if you find any issues.
