Does anyone know if it would be even remotely possible to put a toyota 4AGE into a geo metro? my friend wants to make a sleeper out of his geo instead of having a car that is just sleepy...

It is possible, but he might be better off using the 1.3 Suzuki GTi engine. With mods that will run with any 4age

Well you could more likely get the 4age much eaier, but the 1.3 might bolt in without mods.

www.ssgti.com  has some info on that engine. They also have a turbo kit that can take it up to 250hp. Now thats from a 1.3. The engine comes with 100hp from the factory, and is fairly light. In the Swift Gti, and a few mods, it used to out run the 4AGE powered cars. Remember a Swift/Sprint/Metro doesnt weigh too much. I see a few Gti around, but none for sale.

Geos actually look pretty good with a few mods:

I would say maybe a Mitsubishi 1G turbo motor or the twin cam from an Isuzu Swit/ Geo Storm would be a better idea. :)

Well that's a good question. I know they put the 3sfe in in the prizm, but I've never heard anything about the metro.

I guess it's not really that far off of an idea. There is that chevy v-8 supra..
