Wouldn't you only be able to use the street/strip one for daily driving though?

nope, it says it gives a way stronger spark so you can gap you spark plugs to .055". you burn the fuel more completely... so... it'll give you more power were ever you take your car. the other version is rated to 9,000 RPM's so you can race it better.. thats the only difference

Remember he is also driving a truck, it probably does much more for our cars.

Yes but were the older pick ups that slow, that it would take 17 seconds to get to 60?

Oops, Yeah the entire 17sec to get to 60 is the part I overlooked. I would hope that it did not take his truck a little over 17sec to get to 60. That would make it very difficult to drive onto the highway..

I have a hard time believing what ppl say about inginition componets without prof and I'm talking about what they claim or other claim.  .055" is nearly .020" increase of stock and plus our Initial Timing is either 5` or 8` not 0`
50,000volts is a lot but I heard this claim before with other coils and after replacing my stock one for that 50,000volts one, that car started harder, less MPG, the engine ran rougher. I reintalled the stock coil and everything was back to normal.  This my be the best ingintion we can buy for our cars, but the price is very high, it is high than Jacobs Mileage Master Inginition system I'm saving for.
Toyota used a ballast resistor for a reason.

If i had the opportunity to test it out for about 24 hours with a no questions asked return policy, id go for it... but id like to know how it connects to the plugs with "Only one wire"

One wire to the distributor. Its basically like a Chevrolet set up, just with 4 plug wires instead of 8. 12v power source and a tach lead.

I agree with Nightcelica in that you cannot trust these ads. I think the best way to do it, is to go off of other peoples recommendations

I'm really not sure about this thing. I really don't like gm's hei system. I would rather get an entirely new ignition system from someone I've heard of. I was really thinking of putting in a crane HI6 ignition system into my car. I put one in my friends svo mustang and it gave it a real kick in the ass.

Make sure to get a tach adapter or something for your celica. I got an 84 GT and got the hi-6 with a ps-91 coil (also from crane) and when it is installed i can't get it to send a signal to turn over. Check the "help" part of this forum and look under "damn ignition". My buddy has this set-up in his celica, runs nice and silky-smooth. :D
