How To Post Pictures In The Forum

i heartily recommend www.photobucket.com

very little advertising, easy ta use and understand, something like 1+ gigabyte of free storage for pictures and videos.

you should store your vids on www.youtube.com nuff said.

now that you have a account go to your personal page. there wont be any pics yet  ;) just below of the "upload images & video" button it will say "more options"  click "more options" and select " message board ( 640 x 480 )".
you will get pictures this size, and no danger of forcing people to side scroll the page to see the whole picture.

now click "account options" in the upper right of the page, scroll down to  "album settings". leave all the check box's alone and make sure that the drop box for my album is set to "public". change anything else you want and click "save", its way at the bottom.

its upload time
but first create a new album for whatever your uploading. on the left it says "albums, there will be nothing under it cept a box that says "create a new album" with a box under that says "new album name type in your appropriate name, like "celica" and click "save.  now select the album if you arnt already there, and click "upload images & video" and find your files on your computer. now click "open". watch the taskbar and your done.

now its time to post a pic.  you should notice a few lines beneath each thumbnail of your pics. by copying one of these lines and pasting it in the reply box you will make images appear in your post. here is a breakdown of the important lines of code you need.

note: this symbol  $ is not actually used, but i have to use it so you can see the code. so just pretend its not there, like your wallet.

IMG Code- everything is included for your pic to appear on most any forum out there.
[$IMG]http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/CHAR.jpg[/IMG]

HTML Code-  great for myspace, facebook, cardomain, craigslist ect.  in most cases it makes the pic clickable and links back to its original location, your photobucket album. note that the correct code does not do anything on this forum.
<$a href="http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/?action=view&current=CHAR.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/CHAR.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/?action=view&current=CHAR.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/CHAR.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Direct Link- just that a direct link, no bs just straight to your picture.  good for IM's, texts, and anywhere eles you wish to provide a pic but not have it show up there.

h$ttp://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/CHAR.jpg

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/BlackSheepAuto/Crazy%20Rides/CHAR.jpg

so now select the proper bit of code, and paste it in the reply box.

hit "preview " and marvel at the wonder of modern technology :D

you just got a +2 on your postwhore skill

It's good that the '85 Vert Seats were mentioned because I have had a nagging question about mine.  The longer I own my Vert and as I become more intimate with my Celi, I am beginning to discover some things about it that don't make sense.  My front seats for instance do not have the seatbelt guide on the upper side next to the headrest area.  I never got a straight answer from the previous owner but, when I asked him about the missing VIN on the dash in the upper left dasboard area, he alluded to the idea that it almost seemed that someone had done some restoration work on the car.  OK, so now I'm up to two questions which are: 1) Did all front seats on the '85 'Verts have the seatbelt guides on the upper section of the seats and if mine don't, does that mean that they are not original?  2) Is there supposed to be a VIN on the upper left area of the dashboard?

And, here's my first attempt at posting a pick using shonuff's guidance: :cross:

Freakin Aye! It works! :o

start an account with photobucket then once upload for photos. Once you have uploaded your photos move the mouse over a picture or click on it, then copy the link for mesage boards.

yes.

there are a couple different ways
you can only upload from one folder at a time

to select multiple pic's in a row, select one then hold the shift key and select the last one to select all the pics in between.

use your mouse to drag a box around the group of pics you want.

hold control and select the indiviual pics you want

To copy a pic from another website to your post here, find one with Google or whatever, right click on the pic you want, then left click on "Copy Image Location", then in your "Post Reply" box here, click on our "Insert Image" button (next to the globe for "Insert Hyperlink" ), and paste the copied image location there - viola!
