One of the many things on my list is replacing the shocks. Is it really that much worth it to get adjustable shocks if I never really plan on adjusting them?
1985 Celipra GT-S (driven by Chris):
6M-GE bored .50 over. 210cc injectors from......not a Toyota! Delta 272 re-grind cams. Carter high-flow fuel pump.
Pacesetter header w/custom 2.5" straight exhaust. Open air intake filter w/3" piping to TB. 65mm TB & ported AFM.
4:10 rear w/disk brakes from Supra. BillyM shifter bushing kit. Swapped most interior over to black. T3 camber plates.
935 Budget Coilover kit. KYB AGX struts. Eibach Sport rear supra springs. T3 Needle bearing upper perches.

Sure.... maybe someday you'll find yourself giving old people a ride in your car and you want them to have a soft ride.

But really, adjustible shocks are cool. a buddy of mine has them on his truck and you can totally tell a diference in ride when he adjusts them.

I'd get adjustibles.

I think you just kinda answered your own question  ;)

However, if your question was are adjustable shocks better than non-adjustable shocks then my answer would be yes.

If you dont see any use for the adjustable feature in the future I wouldnt bother to go through the added expense. However if you cant find a strut stiff enough for your tastes, then you might as well get the adjustables

I'd says yes, only because adjustable shocks for our cars are limited in brands and availability.  Most adjustables if not all of them are discountinued.  So If you go with non-adj. now but then a year later decide you want more tunability, you gonna be stuck.

Yeah it think I'll go with adjustables. They are usually a little over $100 more then non-adjustables...thanks for the input.

Yeah, I'm gonna be getting the Illuminas hopefully next week.  I just need a little more info on the procedures on chaging out the strut cartridge.  My shop maual doesn't explain how to do it, it says "take it to a dealer or certified tech." Stupid Clymers or something manual.  Does anyone know the procedures? Or which manual has the procedure for replacing them?

I found Illumina adjustable fronts on one site for $238 plus $13 for shipping, but I think I ran across a site somewhere that had both front and rear for a little over $400.

Get them at Toysport, $400 for all four, they modify the rear shocks to fit ours.

Still cheaper to go with Toysport.  For me its $400 + $8.25 tax + $15.00 shipping.

$423.25 shipped to my house for all four  :D
