Thanks Steven! I stayed out of this discussion when I probably should not have, because I am a supporting member, who remembers why the merchants got their space. I also am aware that we have an "Ultimate Retailers Thread", and that LCE should NOT be in that list as far as a top site or even a number 1 site to go to. Part of the reason I was so irate that a single member, (that has been a member of this forum for long enough to know better than to take a baseball bat to a bees nest over something so minor in the first place, and take it out on the mods as well in a very bad manner), should have also known that we have an "Ultimate Retailers Thread" and the reasons behind the Merchants section. He is not a noob by any means.
He just doesn't frequent the site.
Changing the naming convention to suit a few is okay by me, but standing your ground is even more important. I personally do NOT want to be staring at annoying banner adds all over this forum like every other site has, especially if I'm paying to support it. Merchants, if they contribute, I have no issues with posting up a small image with hyper link as RaptorRacing has. No flashing gif images or anything of the distracting nature please!! I am with the same feeling on this as Nuff already mentioned. Why piss off merchants who are paying to support this site, when they don't have to support us at all, and get very little business out of it to begin with?
On a final note, I also disagree with a person who has not paid a dime to support the forum, rarely bothers to show up, coming in here making a huge shit storm out of something so small. That's my opinion on it, but as we all know... everybody has em, and they all stink.
