85 Gts Air Cond (duracool)and Passenger Seat Cable

Would anyone happen to know what the part # is for the condenser? Or where I could get one for my 84 GT? I could not find one for the life of me. I tried ordering from two different places and each time they sent the wrong part. Doesnt fit. Was sweating in my Celica/sauna all summer.  <_<

I got mine on ebay. I think I paid $19.00 for it. It was an auto parts warehouse clearance item. They're out there, but you may need to dig a little in Google to find one.

I hope you got refunds on the other two!

For those of us in the states, if you want to use duracool, there are hefty fines for simply having hydrocarbon refrigerants in your possession.  Let alone, putting it in your car.  Florida is one of those states.  The reason is because they are flammable and are composed mostly of propane.

ya can't find one in a yard?   Have you tried to have it repaired?  With all the celi's in the NW, or being parted here, you should be able to find at least one.

Yards here dont have anything unfortunately. Thought about getting mine repaired but figured for the price of repairing it I might as well try to get a new one. At least its starting to cool off now...I'll just wait until one pops up. If anything I'll just hold a cup of ice up to the vent for the remainder of the summer  :D

I realize you are in NYC.  I am sure someone in the NW can find one there.  You may even find one in Va.

where did you try?

Rockauto has one listed.  Spectra part # 73926.  shows dimensions.

I tried PartsTrain and autopartswarehouse. Both came and were the wrong size. Im going to try and measure it out this weekend and take a look at RockAuto. Thanks for the help Coop.

Update: Still working cold as when I first installed the Duracool. Its now July 2, 2011 !

Update:  Its May 24, 2013 and the air conditioner is still working great.  this will be the last post on this topic, just wanted to say that this product is working for me just great.....
