The fuel filters on the injected motors are a bith to do. You can see the line in the back of the filter going up to the rail and that's about all The bracket is a big pain in the ass and so is the feed line at the front of the filter. I had a hard time doing it on a lift with the skid plate, starter and oil filter off of the car. It's really hard to get the front banjo nut in straight. I hate thaea things .I would love to relocate the damn thing.

toy efi manual says they are made to last with no expected service
forever in other words
toy makes some unusual stuff
their brake fluid is superior
many parts are
wen the starter and alternator stop working, it only takes $5 brushes to fix em
mistake to replace
cuz replacements are inferior, not toy parts
so i wouldn't replace yor filter if it's not clogging
that is the only thing they'll do
and they never do that
the filter in the gas tank would clog first...
so that explains the mounting of the gas filter
it's not meant to ever be changed !
mine never had any problem
cept changing it is &$#*% city

can you get this deputy off me?  this ain't deliverance...

With good fuel and a clean (not rusting) fuel tank and lines, there is virtually no reason to change it. I dont see a reason to change it before 5yrs of use. I agree,  if it isnt clogged dont change it. Other than that I would do it at about the 5/6 yr mark
