With 5K invested? Ummm..... well you could easily swap a 2JZ into the car with 5K and have enough money left over to upgrade the suspension. and get a pretty good exhaust system too.

You'd be running about 330HP in a car that weighs almost 1000+ LBS less than a 4th generation supra.

Thus you'd have to race Porsche and not have to EVER worry about any Honda's, Mitsu's, Nissans, Or any other Toyota's.

And only cars out of the exotic class could do anything about you.

I'm actually having a REALLY really hard time trying to decide between the AW11 MR2 or a MKII Supra. If i get a supra i'm going to swap a 7MGTE (250HP).... but if i get a MR2 i think i'd have more fun simply driving the car and maybe later swaping a 3SGTE or maybe simply thow in a 4AGZE from 1992 Levin (170HP)

HKS had a twin turbo kit. CelicaSupra.com has the magazine artical all about it.  The Artical

I've tried to find the turbo kit but its long gone... But it was cool.

Hey, even a 7MGTE swap would be cheaper than turbo charging a 5MGE... Although, Another company has made a brand new Turbo kit for the 5MGE/6MGE. The link
Dont forget that the 7MGTE has 250 HP... thats still engough to kick most cars asses

the Supra is a good choice, Well better than any WWD (Wrong Wheel Drive) Throw away Mitsu.

But dont feel bad, I've somtimes wondered about getting a 5th generation celica GT-S... and they are WWD too....

1What's the "laughing" sound rally cars make
2When you let off the gas coming around a corner fast wouldn't a front drive car spin out?

Do you mean the Chirping sound rally cars make when they drift corners and stuff? I think its their breaks squicking... although i dont know for sure, either that or their suspension.

I dont know much about driving WWD... the only WWD cars i've driving is my moms pontiac and my brother's integra and i drove them nice because i didnt want them to get mad at me!  :P

I think there is more parts out for the MKII Supra than there is for the 3rd gen celicas.

www.celicasupra.com has all sorts of resources for you.

That sound you hear is the blow off valve.  When the throttle closes, too much pressure would build up in the turbo system, so you have the blow off valve to relieve the pressure which could destroy the turbo system.

At $3500 for that kit you might as well just buy my 7MGTE and take the rest of the money and build it for real power. Get an SDS and tune it, you could easily push 400-600 hp

Aftermarket EFI system.  When you are making real horsepower, you want to fine tune your system and not rely on piggy back systems
