Well, as most of you know, I sold a2ndopinion my rebuilt engine out of my old celica (low mileage, bored over, oversized valves, stronger cam) to put into his wife Zoomy's 'vert. This was back in June, we had made a deal that because he couldnt pay my total amount in one shot, we would do payments, I was given a small payment when he took posession of the engine, but I have not received anything else since then, and he has not returned any of my pm's regarding this issue, the only contact I have received from him was telling me that the engine is now noisy, it was perfectly fine when I sold it to him, so I dont know what is going on there, but, this is now over 4 months later, and I want him to start paying me what I am owed, and I know he has been selling parts off my old car and other stuff to other members, yet he still chooses to ignore me.

I am bringing this up to the forum because I have tried several times over the last 4 months to try and get him to work with me on resolving this, but with his continued ignorance towards me, I am making our deal publicly aware in the hopes that this will create awareness and pressure on him to own up and pay his debts

If everyone must know, I am in a world of hurt here, and even had to borrow money so as not to be evicted.
Zoomy's back has gotten to the point that the Dr said that if she is to still get a prescription for her pain meds, she can not work.
We did not pay for her trip to SEMA - that came from a SEMA member friend.
I've been trying to carry the load for work, but the economy has not helped - our business has fallen off by 1/2 in the last year, and we have eaten all of our savings.
Next is selling our collection of parts and cars, which I hope it doesn't come down to!

I won't go into the fact that the engine I got from Ken sounds like a diesel, and there were about 6 forum members here when it was first started, and no one has been able to figure it out.
The Mk I diff that was part of the deal is so rusty that one wheel is locked up, and I'm afraid to clean it up, as it may end up with holes in it.
I guess that is what I'm stuck with for buying them sight unseen (unheard?), with the thought of good faith that coming from another member of the forum, all would be good.

So anyway, if I could pay this debt, I gladly would, but at this point, I'm just hoping to have a roof over my family's head at Christmas.
You all have a nice day!

Thank you for trying to make me sound like I'm just trying to see you out on the streets and not care..

the engine was running fine and everything when I stopped driving the car, and I started it up every other week while it sat until I brought it to you, the noise which has shown up I can only think is from some 'adjusting' that was done to it after it left my possession.

I stopped driving the car because the body was rusting out on me again, I was getting water inside from somewhere, I was going to have to replace the steering rack and suspension really soon as well

Now, so people can know, Bob and I made an agreement that payments would be made to pay off the engine and parts, we had left it flexible, it could be 10, 20, or 100$ a month, whatever could be spared, I never asked for more than could be spared, I am not out to screw people over

I 'sold' Bob the engine, lsd diff, and more parts ( as I brought the whole chassis down) as a package, for a fair price, as I did not include the cost of bringing it all down ( over 500$ which I am still trying to recover by means of my job) I was fully prepared to just send everything to the wreckers, which I realized afterwards I should have, would have saved myself 500$ and all these problems

I was willing to sell these parts in good faith to a fellow member that seemed to be trust worthy at the time, but, as usual, find myself mistaken in the end

No, I'm not trying to make it sound like you're trying to make us homeless and don't care, as most of this is my fault for not communicating with you.

As I stated, there were a handful of forum members present (Teranfirbt, zipty, Rydman313, nypher, cluricaunne...) when the engine was started for the first time after it was installed, and you were here helping to get it out of your car. There was nothing done in-between.

Ken, I am really sorry this has happened, and want to do whatever I can to make all good. I really enjoyed your visit, and want to be able for us to be friends.

I do have thoughts on the engine noise, and when I do finally get it figured out, will be sure to let everyone know. Other than the noise, which does concern me, the engine runs well.

I also believe that "I did not include the cost of bringing it all down ... over 500$" is not quite true, as you wanted to come down anyway.

Again, I apologize for not staying in touch - it's one of my faults. I will do my best to resolve this ASAP.

Yes Bob, I did want to come down, but seeings as I could barely afford to put food on my table, I couldnt justify making the trip. I was only able to come by selling the parts, which is where I took the loss, I let them go for lower than I was hoping to get originally for them, this is now 5 months later, and I'm still trying to pay off that trip, and I even had to move to try and make more money so I can
