Yamaha and toyota are like good brothers, thats why i'd only own a yamaho ATV or Street bike.

Also, i thought that Lotus helped with the suspesion, i didnt have any idea that they designed th whole car.

Yeah Yamaha does some good head designs except for one ( the last generation Ford Taurus SHO, the first was real good)  They have designed all the heads with the G in the engine designation for Toyota including the one in the 2000GT

Yep, their first DOHC, Toyota that is.  That car was actually supposed to have been a Datsun, but they changed their mind so Toyota took it up

Guys I completely forgot the starion. Thanks for mentioning it. All these jap cars from the 80's were awesome. The celica, supra, starion, mr2, Z-cars you get the point. Maybe it's because they are all rear wheel drive, boxy yet long and low and lets face it , they remind me pf the delorian. Iwaish I had a flux capicitor in my car. Do you think I should try E-bay? :D

Some people do not appreciate art. The Celica, Supra and Starion are a work of art.  They brought back emotional appearance. Can anyone look at these vehicles and say that they dont feel it in their heart? There are not too many cars like this anymore.  The people that do not appreciate the looks of the older generation are into the rounded look.
I'm going to have to agree with all these things... i know a guy with a starion, and all these cars look gracefull and yet aggressive at the same time. plus being able to watch ricers in their civics flash their headlights at you trying to start a race, then not seeing them again cuz you took the corner 15 mph faster than them ^_^

I totally agree with you, and i also love the delorean too, it was my first dream car and is still on the top 5 cars i want.

BTW, i have seen a flux capicitor on eBay before. Somone makes really accurate replicas of them for DMC-12 owners. I also found the real "future" license plate that looks like a bar code on Yahoo Auctions once. Somone who worked on the set of BTTF was selling it. I wanted it so bad... although ive forgetten how much it ended at. Probably not much considering it was on Yahoo Auctions.

Never was a fan of the late 80s Z, thought it was ugly. Preferred the shapes of the other Jap cars though.  However, going on the wild side, I would say the Ferrari F40 was the bad boy back in the day, looks, power and emotion

My sister had a Datsun and it was FWD. I think it was a 310 or somthing like that but I'm not sure. I just remember changing the clutch in it. And you could remove it without taking out the transmission. It was very easy to change the clutch in those cars.

I've always love my 3rd gen celica. And i love how it looks. I personally think all of toyota's 80's sports cars look good. I wish Toyota would take some pointers off their 80's designers. I love the MR2, the Supra/Celica, and the Corolla GTS. And those cars all have one thing in common, retractable headlights.
Think the Chief Engineer and Designer for the 3rd generation (Akihiro Wada) became an Executive Vice President for Toyota.  He's now chairman of some auto parts manufacturer partially owned by Toyota.  Anyway, he's out of the picture now in automotive design for Toyota outside of the parts business.  Too bad.
