Yeah. Everytime I go home on vacation, I get back on my cable modem connection. Then I do another contract, and want to cry at how slow the connection is sometimes. Gives me something else to look forward to when I get home though. <_<
The sattelite connection has to go from the ship, to MTN in New Jersey, then to Carnival Corporate servers, in Miami, then out to the internet, and vice versa.

I guess I should actually feel lucky, because aside from the Captain, and a few high ranking Officer's, the I/S Department is the only department on the ship with free 24/7 internet access. The rest of the people have to pay to use the Internet Cafe.
