And a big dude with long hair and a beard playing the flute!
A couple of years ago, one of the now defunct local automotive radio shows hosts made a comment that real rock doesn't have flutes. I called in and asked what they called Jethro Tull. I always said that Dennis Pittsenbarger was an ass! Too bad he screwed over Iain and F. Matt so bad.

Okay, I know a lot of you may not like this one, but I'm posting it because of a couple things:

1. I designed the logo and a CD cover for the band performing it.
2. I wrote the lyrics, and after my second ever piano lesson I wrote the melody for the band so they could write the rest of the music.

It's not completed, not sure if it ever will be, but this was a studio version.  I put the slideshow together with the music.  Let me know what you think....

dang, I watched the video first then read your post. Thought it was a band from the 60's with a fan made video. Music is def top notch.

Thanks, man... that's a nice compliment!

Seeing the video of the two vettes racing (and crashing) I wanted to share another video I did about street racing.  There was a situation a few years ago where two kids were street racing on the freeway, in the afternoon during heavy traffic, and one car lost control and crashed, hitting a mom driving the opposite direction - I believe she was killed.  The so-called friend had stopped and saw his crashed buddy burning in the car and covered his own ass and left the scene, leaving his friend to die.

Later that week, all the street racing sites were full of jackasses claiming "they weren't racing".  The point is, if you and another car are both driving fast on the freeway, and you're both trying to get from point A to point B faster than the other guy, you're freaking racing.  period.

Anyway... thinking about all the unnecessary deaths that occur from illegal street racing, I wrote something for the single mom's who's kids are racing on the streets... and the fear that each night might be his last.  The poem is entitled She Cries a Little More...

Please feel free to share it with others who don't think about how their actions affect others.  Enjoy...

:agree:

there are plenty of race tracks. Hell theres a track here in our small town of 100000, that runs every friday night, and as long as your car passes tech (solid windshield, no leaks, battery held down) you can make all the runs you want for $10. We still end up with idiots street racing.

So true...

I was at the drags once in San Diego at the stadium, and on the way home some bozo saw my dashboard mounted tach, wide tires, and lowered stance on my 93 Toyota Pickup and wanted to race me on the freeway.  He was at the drags too, I could see the markings on the windows.  That's the problem: even when there are tracks these people still want to street race.  I've done it, and I've had very close calls and decided it's not worth it.

So, after this guy wanted to race and I didn't let him egg me on, he took off as if we were actually racing and I guess in his little mind I lost the race.  Funny thing is that when I got home I pulled open my waistband and wouldn't you know it was the same size!  Didn't shrink a bit losing that race, contrary to popular belief!  :heh:
