there are plenty of race tracks. Hell theres a track here in our small town of 100000, that runs every friday night, and as long as your car passes tech (solid windshield, no leaks, battery held down) you can make all the runs you want for $10. We still end up with idiots street racing.
Yea hard to keep idiots from doing stuff on the streets, but in CA they've closed down so many of the drag strips, I think the only places around here now to race at is in Fontana and Irwindale which is a couple hours away from me. And the last time I got to go to a race track was in Willow Springs which is over 2 hours away from me. Was a blast, but damn it's a drive.
