That car was done. A Supra front end will not bolt onto the Celic body. The Supra is 6'' longer in the front, to accommodate the 6 cylinder engine. The way this and others are done, is by cutting both cars in half, and welding them back together.

So which VIN should it keep? I have titles for both of them.

Weather or not it matters in your case keep the Celica vin, the insurance should be cheaper wouldn't it?

X2. If you look at it percentage-wise, you're using about 2/3 of the original Celica body, 1/3rd of the Supra.

Although I think there's a special title/registration class in Maine for vehicles that are made from more then one car...

my guess is you would have to get a salvage title because it is two cars made into one.  But, which ever car you keep the firewall from would be the correct VIN

How would the DMV know it was two vehicles made into one?

You just might get a smart(ass) and knowlegable examiner that knows their cars.  I know in FL, since I brought it in from out of state, I had to prove what the car was. I had to have the sheriff come out and look at the car, verify the VIN and mileage via a form that I needed to take to the DMV to get tags.

The state of Oregon could care less as long as the registered VIN hadn't been reported totaled anyway. They don't care about mileage after X years either.
Hmm, both the Supra and the 'vert are black too.
