$25 for a exhaust bypass valve
You would think with that low of a price, more people would have it.

I think I got screwed on my panda paint job...

i had a header and catback wen i took out my cat
it made a diff.
revs out easier, probly a hp or two
definitely louder
now my raptor is a little too loud on the freeway
sounds good revving tho
like an nice italian sports car
tired of hearing that yet?
 :D  :D  :P

i had a xhaust cut out on my fiat
but it wuz the jc whitney $10 model
just a flapper valve in a cast housing
so it wuz a big xhaust leak and sounded bad
but open xhaust is fun
altho sounds like a tractor till you get higher in the revs
   <_<  :(
check out how it seals so you dun get ripped

None of these stories can be any worse than what I heard on the freeway...traffic in the morning, moving about 45-50 mph, and all you here is this bumble bee exhausts!  Off and On throttle...I would be quite embarassed

cutout
if it's the cast iron one for a whopping $40 ,
that is EXACTLY the one i had
nothing's changed
the thing is, the flapper is on a rod/hinge
it duzn't seal on that end
so it's pretty noisy even closed and there's no way to fix it even welding it probly
it's poorly made, xhaust leaks out the holes the pivot rod sits in
you will get tired of it i would imagine
for $40 you could probly MAKE one that WOULD seal if you had the tools

I was wondering, is it ok to just remove the cat and run it to the muffler, I was told that if its got a cat, you need to keep one on, because it will be harmful on the engine without it

To my knowledge, the cat is for SMOG purposes only.

woah, i've never actually seen the inside of a cat before. I knew its like a honey comb... but i didnt know it was THAT restrictive. that looks like it'd restrect alot of gas flow.
