This and that

Been doing some work on the old Celica and thought I would post some pics of it. This is my first post though I have been a lurker on this forum for years. Some of you might recognize the car. Enjoy.

When ordering T3 steering knuckles you have to make sure to order the ae86 hybrid knuckles as the ones they have listed for ra64's don't fit. I guess they thought that because they worked on the mk2 supra that the same ones would work for the celicas but the tapers are different sizes. I let them know this and they sent me the ae86 hybrid knuckles and they work perfectly. T3 has excellent customer service. The diff is an f303 with a weir performance maxgrip kit.

Here are some pics of how the car sits now.

Nice work so far. You should also look into ordering a set of camber plates and needle bearing upper hats from Gabe too.
1985 Celipra GT-S (driven by Chris):
6M-GE bored .50 over. 210cc injectors from......not a Toyota! Delta 272 re-grind cams. Carter high-flow fuel pump.
Pacesetter header w/custom 2.5" straight exhaust. Open air intake filter w/3" piping to TB. 65mm TB & ported AFM.
4:10 rear w/disk brakes from Supra. BillyM shifter bushing kit. Swapped most interior over to black. T3 camber plates.
935 Budget Coilover kit. KYB AGX struts. Eibach Sport rear supra springs. T3 Needle bearing upper perches.

Yeah I plan on getting the t3 camber plate setup as soon as the budget allows for it. Still finishing up the rear end. Also I filled the voids in the sub frame bushings with window weld as the super pro bushings aren't available anymore and it worked very well. Highly recommended if you are on a budget.

looks good, nice stance. :)

did you just cut the stock rear springs to drop the back?

and is the car already 2j as your name implies?

There will be another option for the rear subframe bushings made out of poly soon. Also once the certain person doing this, he will be selling a kit that takes care of the subframe bushings, camber adjustment brackets and beefier sway bar tabs.

Dr. Jekyll, The rear springs are dobinons 300# mk2 supra springs cut a coil and a half that I purchased from raptor racing. They are only on there right now so I can see how the car would sit with them. This weekend I will be doing a mod on my extra mk2 subframe (the sub frame in the pics above) to make the rear suspension adjustable as far as ride height is considered. The mod can be found in the link below and I'll post pics when its complete.  http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/showthread.php?43648-Rear-adjustable-suspension-write-up

The car does have a 2jzge in it.

83celWA, I can't wait for that kit to be available. You would be amazed at how well the window weld trick worked though.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I would have posted something in the introductions but this car and its build is already known to this forum. At least the engine swap is. I am merely finishing everything else since I became absent about half way through the initial engine swap. Here's some more pics of the car though.... You might recognize the engine bay.

I got the perches from daymotorsports.com, just search for spring spacers or search part #85500A. Should be installing that sub frame next weekend.
