Write up section

I kind of feel like the write up section is filled with gold, but it's not easy for users to look through or the information that is in the section kind of feels out of place. Like brake write ups, shouldn't they be stickies in the brake section and so on and so forth? I'm sure there are many ways to sort it out, but I think there is just so much there now that it's kind of like a pile of unorganized GREAT stuff.

I do agree, but have no way to do anything about it... IMO the best way to handle it is to separate out the write ups section into multiple sub section.

Yea I was thinking the same that it could be child sections of the write up, similar to the photoshop section under pictures.

An example I'd give is to expand some of the older stuff.

For instance, shonuff's quickie head gasket, a very nice piece, concise, accurate.

But he then states if you have fuel injection, there is more to do, but what is left unsaid.

So another one for re fi cars would be great.

Bob's photo illustrated front suspension PST kit install piece deserves a place of honor. That one is great, but you have to really search to find it.

Some of the background info is from years ago. While well done and accurate at the time, current parts availability and approaches would be nice.

There is that danger with an old forum, and a car that is now 30 whatever years old, much of what can been said already has been said. It would be nice to consolidate and update it though. Newbies and non-mechanics shouldn't have to go through hours and hours of searching and sifting the wheat from the chaff to get up to date info, parts availability, and current thought on stuff.

If you find stuff you like you can always quote it or report it to the mods for sticky approval. I'm talking about the write up section. Since some people ask questions that are listed in there, but it's just not apparent to go looking through there.
