83 GTS black wheels?
« on: May 27, 2015, 12:25:56 am »
Just posting this for thoughts on the black wheels?  OEM aluminum wheels maybe powder coated?  Red trim on the wheels and they stayed with the chrome caps. $8,000 with 175,000 miles seems a bit steep to me and it ain't no Supra as the ad says with a 22R-E

Also wonder if the lights don't flip since the photos are all with them up.  Maybe they don't know how to turn them all the way off?   :heh:

That guy is smoking crack. I can get a 1uz swapped Celica right now for 5k.

In regards to the rims, I dig it, but it only works on a red car. Trust I've had a few red cars with this scheme. A Black car looks "too black". And any other color besides red looks stoopid. Have you seen my Zx rims?

Finding a real rust-free body is getting hard to find. I guess our cars are getting rare enough now that prices are going up.

Thanks. It was a labor of love. I love datsuns. I've owned four of them. All of them had something happen to them... I don't believe in curses or any voodoo crap. But from some reason, datsuns don't like me. Ironically, every time I traded for a Datsun in life, it was a Toyota. It's like as soon as I get a yota, a Datsun comes along that's too good to be true. Then the Datsun gets wrecked.

And wouldn't ya know it, as soon as I acquired my Celica, a pretty blue s30 z showed up in my neighborhood for sale-!

Guess what. I passed on it. Celica is still rolling.

Ya know, that rivalry between Nissan and Porsche ain't just in that anime/manga. It really exists. If you start searching, you'll find the same scary reality I found. Japan copies Germany. First in ww2, with airplane tech. The in car tech. Porsche and Nissan don't like each other. I'm on the Nissan side- I hate Porsche. I hate their business ethics, racing ethics, and build design.
